• Utilize the ANA Nursing Process (2010) to perform data collection, assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, and execution of individualized nursing plans.
• Coordinate care delivery and ensure patient progress along plans.
• Provide health teaching and promotion strategies to create a safe environment.
• Consult with advanced practice nurses and nursing role specialists to influence plans and enhance care.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

• Systematically enhance quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Attain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practice.
• Evaluate one’s own nursing practice against professional standards and guidelines.
• Interact with and contribute to professional development of peers.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and others in nursing practice.
