Job Description:

This position involves working in a progressive care unit with a mixed acuity setting, handling intermediate care acuity alongside telemetry and Med Surg patients. The role requires a nurse experienced in cardiac procedural recovery and capable of managing diverse patient types such as post-cardiac/vascular surgery cases.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for direct admits, ED admits, and post-cath lab patients.
• Manage patients with MI, NSTEMI, STEMI, CHF, and dysrhythmias.
• Oversee stepdown level care for post-cardiac/vascular surgery patients.
• Work as part of a team including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, and RTs.
• Float to other units as needed within the scope of practice.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1.5 years general nursing experience, 1 year specific to PCU.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with South Dakota Board of Nursing certification.
• Experience with cardiac procedural recovery and titratable cardiac/vasoactive gtts.
