Job Description:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide patient care for intermediate care, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients. Responsibilities include cardiac rhythm interpretation, management of chest tubes, and administration of titratable cardiac medications.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient vitals and conditions, especially post-cardiac procedures.
• Administer medications and IV drips according to physician orders and protocols.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for cardiac patients.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient care.

Requirements:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Completion of a board-approved nursing education program and current RN licensure with the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• At least 1.5 years of general nursing experience and 1 year specifically in PCU settings.
• Experience with cardiac procedural recovery and MI pharmacology.
