Job Description:

The Registered Nurse will work in a 39-bed mixed ICU unit providing care for complex ICU patients including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. The nurse will manage patients with conditions such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, and post-surgical recovery, utilizing their critical care skills including ventilator management and telemetry.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for complex ICU patients with varying acuity levels.
• Administer IV medications and manage ventilators, hemodynamic lines, and telemetry.
• Work as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and complete charting using the Epic system.
• Participate in the orientation and support of unit operations as needed.

Requirements:

• 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience (preferred).
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Experience with IV medications, ventilator management, and critical care skills.
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
• Comfort with a 48-hour/week contract and Epic experience required.
