Job Description

Join our team as a registered nurse in a vibrant Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a 13-week contract in Rapid City, South Dakota. This role offers the opportunity to work with neonates of all gestational ages in a Level 3 NICU setting, handling critical cases including low birth weight, high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and total body cooling. You’ll be the cornerstone of care for vulnerable infants, managing patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:4, with a focus on supporting neonatal stability and recovery.

The shift is a 48‑hour week, with a flexible schedule that may include mostly weekends and on‑call duties during low census periods. Experience with vent management, IV starts, and neonatal resuscitation is preferred. You’ll collaborate closely with neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, and a supportive team, including support staff like CNAs and RTs.
