Travel RN-PICU jobs in Rapid City, SD let you care for critically ill children in a facility with a collaborative culture and advanced pediatric care. You will assess, monitor, and treat pediatric patients, operate life-support equipment, and document care in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a valid South Dakota RN or Compact RN license, and at least 1 year of recent pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) experience.

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required. Recommended skills include proficiency in ventilator management, IV medication administration, rapid response to emergencies, and strong communication. Experience with family-centered care, pediatric trauma protocols, and EMR systems is valued.
