American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Inpatient Wound Care position requiring wound care certification and at least 2 years of experience.
Requirements- Active SD or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Wound care certification required (ABWM, NAWCO, or WOCNCB accepted)
- CWOCN ostomy certification required for ostomy-certified wound care role
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- General wound care background required including wound vac management, nurse-level debridement, ABIs, and cast cutting
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Inpatient Wound Care unit with potential floating to outpatient
- Treats a wide variety of wound patients including diabetic foot wounds, vascular wounds, and pressure injuries
- Typical patient ratio is 1 patient per hour depending on complexity
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with no nights, weekends, or major holidays
- 1-2 weeks of unit orientation provided
Provide comprehensive wound care to inpatient and outpatient populations as needed - Work alongside a tight-knit, family-like team with high autonomy and independence
- Support team includes CNPs, RNs, CNAs, and front desk scheduling staff for outpatient services
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Free parking provided
- Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel positions
- Facility is known for being very traveler-friendly and frequently renews travel contracts
- First-time travelers considered if they have prior wound care experience
