Overview
Job title:
Construction Surveillance Technician (CST). The CST provides security support to the Department of the Air Force and supports the construction of secure spaces, including Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts.
- Assesses, identifies and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
- Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
- Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
- Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
- Follow and enforce customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
- Conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
- Photograph and monitor the construction of secure spaces and document steps to support final accreditation packets.
- Experience:
1+ years of related experience. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree is desired and counts towards 4 years of experience;
Associate degree counts towards 2 years. - Security:
- US Citizenship
Required:
Yes - Clearance Level Must Currently Possess:
Interim Secret - Clearance Level Must Be Able To Obtain:
Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with a polygraph - Can obtain Interim Secret to start; must be willing and able to obtain TS/SCI with CI polygraph
- Certifications:
Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years;
Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years; SPED Certifications maximum of 5 years. - Other requirements:
Complete safety training such as OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection, OSHA Confined Space within 30 days; complete CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course within 30 days.
- Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 for SCIFs and compliance with IC physical and technical security requirements.
