Purpose
The Manager, Commercial Performance ensures executed customer agreements deliver intended financial and strategic value. Focus areas include post-contract performance management: utilization, revenue realization, compliance to deal terms, and billing alignment.
You Will Be Responsible For- Commercial Performance Monitoring:
Track agreement performance vs. contracted terms (utilization, procedure volumes, financial commitments); monitor adoption of systems/models; identify underperformance, revenue leakage, or deviations. - Revenue Realization & Billing Alignment:
Partner with Finance and Billing for accurate, timely invoicing per contract terms; validate billing structures (per procedure, subscription, capital agreements); resolve gaps between contracted pricing and billed revenue. - Customer Compliance & Remediation:
Work with Sales on customer under utilization/non-compliance; develop and execute action plans (volume commitments, usage thresholds); support field teams with data and recommendations. - Insights & Analytics:
Build dashboards (deal health, utilization trends, financial performance); generate insights on deal effectiveness, system adoption, and ROI; provide visibility into key risks/opportunities. - Process & Continuous Improvement:
Establish standardized post-deal monitoring processes; develop playbooks for tracking/enforcing deal compliance; incorporate learnings into future deal structures. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Pricing Ops, Contract Management, and Customer Success (if applicable); bridge commercial execution with operational/financial tracking.
- 5+ years in commercial operations, deal desk, finance, pricing, or revenue operations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/advanced degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of contract structures, revenue models, and financial performance tracking.
- Experience with billing processes, revenue recognition, or contract-to-cash workflows.
- Advanced analytics (Excel, Power BI, or similar).
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for Sales.
- Stakeholder management; detail-oriented, proactive problem-solving.
- Travel: 25% domestically.
- Medical device/capital equipment/healthcare technology experience.
- CRM (e.g., Dynamics), ERP/billing systems, and contract lifecycle management tools.
- Experience managing post-sales performance or customer compliance programs.
- Vacation: 120 hours/year;
Sick time: 40 hours/year (CO 48; WA 56). - Holiday pay (floating holidays): 13 days/year.
- Work/Personal/Family Time: up to 40 hours/year.
- Parental leave: 480 hours (within one year of birth/adoption/foster care).
