Client Details Our client is a nationally recognized design-build and construction management firm with operations across the tristate region with offices in Philadelphia and Raritan, New Jersey specializing in technically complex environments for life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, industrial, and research-focused clients. Description Project Leadership & Delivery Lead multiple design-build and CM projects from preconstruction through commissioning and final turnover.
Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and risk mitigation strategies. Provide leadership and direction to internal project teams, engineers, superintendents, and support staff. Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to client expectations. Client Relationship Management Act as the primary point of contact for project owners and key stakeholders. Build and maintain long-term relationships with life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, and industrial clients.
Lead client meetings and provide regular project updates, forecasts, and strategic recommendations. Identify opportunities for additional services and future project engagements. Technical Project Oversight Manage complex facility projects including laboratories, clean rooms, manufacturing facilities, pilot plants, GMP environments, and advanced industrial spaces. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and design teams throughout project development. Review technical drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure constructability and compliance.
Drive solutions to technical, operational, and facility-related challenges. Financial & Commercial Management Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures. Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, subcontractor agreements, and procurement packages. Monitor project financial performance, profitability, and resource utilization. Prepare executive-level project reporting for leadership and clients. Construction Management Oversee field operations and coordinate with Superintendents and subcontractors. Monitor construction progress, productivity, quality, and safety performance.
Ensure compliance with project schedules and contractual milestones. Lead issue resolution and corrective action initiatives when challenges arise. Risk, Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all projects. Manage project risks related to scope, schedule, procurement, safety, and facility operations. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client-specific protocols. Support commissioning, validation, qualification, and turnover activities where applicable.
Team Development & Leadership Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project staff. Foster a collaborative, high-performance project environment. Participate in strategic planning, resource allocation, and process improvement initiatives. Contribute to business growth and operational excellence initiatives across the organization. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related discipline. 8-15+ years of progressive experience managing complex construction, design-build, engineering, or industrial projects. Proven experience managing projects ranging from $10 million to $50 million or greater. Strong understanding of design-build delivery methods and construction management best practices. Experience managing mechanical, process, electrical, and critical utility systems.
Excellent knowledge of project scheduling, procurement, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, laboratory, GMP, cleanroom, manufacturing, or industrial facility projects. Familiarity with FDA-regulated or highly regulated environments. PMP, CCM, LEED, PE, or other relevant professional…
