TS Manager BTP Programming

Role Summary

The BTP Programming Manager is accountable for the BUILD of Application Development solutions in SAP BTP for ERP platforms in North America and responsible globally or regionally for Application Programming. This role designs development plans for chapter members, allocates resources across squads, ensures the right skills at the right time for HPT teams, monitors chapter performance, and serves as a point of escalation for resource or performance issues.

It partners with regional development managers, functional managers, technical architects, and consultants to assess new initiatives, provide estimates, design procedures and standards, select the right resource mix, establish governance, and oversee execution within an Agile framework. The role leads Enterprise Application programming with strong collaboration with business teams to ensure the global programming strategy and framework are established and followed.

It reports to the IT Director – ERP Tech Competency Leader and ensures development methodologies and standards are adhered to.

• Plan projects for development execution under Agile Framework.
• Design scalable, reliable, and compliant solutions.
• Coordinate work scheduling, prioritization, and offshore activities.
• Coordinate dependencies with other teams as a single point of contact.
• Ensure Compliance & Security standards are adhered to.
• Apply strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
• Monitor and manage the progress of tasks.
• Make sound decisions and manage capacity according to project demand.

• Work across multiple Scrum Teams, Architecture and TS groups to define and deliver innovative development solutions.
• Provide direction to other developers and mentor junior developers/leads.
• Enforce adherence to development, security & compliance standards.
• Accountable for code quality and technical documentation.
• Accountable for communication across various scrum teams and groups.
• Serve as the single point of contact for Functional teams, vendor resources, and enterprise platform owners.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 10+ years of Application Development and/or relevant IT experience.
• 3+ years of SAP S/4 programming experience.
• Hands-on development experience in SAP BTP platform.
• Hands-on development experience in SAP S/4 HANA across modules.
• Experience in S/4 HANA is highly preferred.
• Experience with automation tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge of industry trends (especially automation) and ability to apply to design; knowledge of enterprise architecture and development methodologies; broad understanding of current capabilities and limitations of existing systems.
• Ability to implement solutions and identify risks related to the chapter.
