MES Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Own the MES PAS X tower v33x across programs ensuring platform stability, scalability, and compliance in cloud‑based AKS Azure Kubernetes Services environments.

Define and govern MES architecture standards, integration patterns, deployment models, and operational best practices for PAS X on Azure.

Ensure alignment of the MES tower strategy with manufacturing IT Digital Manufacturing roadmaps, ISA 8895 standards, and enterprise IT governance.

Act as the single point of accountability for MES PAS X delivery operations, quality, and compliance.

Lead end‑to‑end MES PAS X implementations and upgrades from requirement gathering through configuration, qualification, and final delivery.

Coordinate rollouts and system upgrades for the PAS X application.

Own MES Service Delivery Operations ensuring high availability, performance, and adherence to SLAs.

Govern second‑level support operations for PAS X Azure Kubernetes and MES integrations.

Lead Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes in line with ITIL.

Proactively identify risks, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities to ensure smooth operations.

Provide technical leadership for PAS X deployment and lifecycle management on AKS, including service pack installations and platform upgrades.

Govern OS application and platform patching (Windows/Linux) and ensure timely vulnerability remediation.

Oversee Kubernetes, Linux, and database‑related activities to ensure performance, resilience, and availability of MES environments.

Collaborate closely with enterprise Infrastructure, Cloud Security, and Network teams.

Own and govern MES integrations with Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 systems including SAP ERP, OSI PI, LIMS, and Kepware/OPC.

Ensure robust design, monitoring, and support of DCS adapters, services, and interfaces.

Drive troubleshooting for complex cross‑system issues spanning MES, DCS, ERP, and shop‑floor automation.

Establish governance for MES PAS X users, rights control, data profiles, terminals, printing, reporting, production units, WMS master data, service system configurations.

Ensure data consistency, audit readiness, and alignment with validated system requirements.

Ensure MES solutions comply with CSV, SDLC, 21 CFR Part 11, cGMP, and GAMP requirements.

Act as the primary interface with vendors such as Krber, Microsoft, and system integrators.

Manage vendor delivery escalations and roadmap alignment.

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, plant teams, QA infrastructure, and enterprise IT leadership.

Provide technical and functional leadership to MES engineers and support teams.

Mentor team members on PAS X functionality, cloud‑K8s concepts, validation, and integrations.

Drive proactive collaboration, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence within the MES tower.

Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and performance optimization within MES operations.
