Principal Scientist, Data Science
Primary location flexible:
Titusville, NJ;
Raritan, NJ;
Spring House, PA;
Cambridge, MA; or San Diego, CA
- Define an end-to-end vision for imaging data products (ingestion, curation, integration, consumption).
- Lead development and scaling of medical imaging data products aligned to clinical trial and therapeutic needs.
- Enable data standards & governance by promoting FAIR principles and ensuring regulatory, privacy, and ethical compliance.
- Partner with therapeutic and disease area leaders to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
- Lead cross-functional execution with data science, engineering, clinical teams, and external partners (CROs/vendors).
- Modernize imaging ecosystems by transforming imaging pipelines, platforms, and workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Expand the imaging data product portfolio aligned to clinical development priorities.
- Master’s degree required;
PhD or equivalent preferably. - Advanced degree in Imaging Health Sciences or related field.
- Background in Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Medicine, Medical Physics, or similar.
- 10+ years in medical imaging and multi-modal data environments.
- Experience building and scaling data products/platforms.
- Leadership in cross-functional and vendor collaborations.
- Hands‑on expertise in imaging data standards (e.g., DICOM), PACS, and multi-modal data pipelines.
- Familiarity with AI/ML/advanced analytics in imaging (e.g., computer vision).
- Ability to translate complex imaging data into business and clinical value.
- Advanced Analytics, Critical Thinking, Data Analysis, Data Privacy Standards, Data Quality, Data Visualization, Strategic Thinking, Technical Credibility, Process Improvements, Workflow Analysis.
- Vacation: 120 hours/calendar year;
Sick time: 40 hours/calendar year. - Holiday pay (incl. Floating Holidays): 13 days/calendar year.
- Parental Leave: 480 hours within one year of birth/adoption/foster care.
