Requirements:
- Administer and support a multitier Tableau infrastructure including upgrade analysis and planning, security administration, release management, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and general systems maintenance
- Manage the users, groups, licenses and integration with Active Directory
- Perform production readiness audit of Tableau applications developed by the development team or users
- Server and application monitoring status reporting
- Collaborate with end users, project stakeholders and support partners to identify needs, goals, and business models
- Assess the current state identify opportunities for improvement and best practice recommendations
- Experiment with new features and enhancements released by Tableau, and bring them into the platform organization
- Design, create, and maintain a platform-wide, reusable data extract layer within Tableau
- Work with vendor product management to determine, validate and implement a long term strategy for Tableau
- Ability to support varying levels of user expertise in dynamic, ever changing working environment.
- Understand and support Oracle database environments, SQL and data warehousing techniques to support partnership with Data Architects and DBAs for data architecture and database need configuration.
- Understanding of existing Tableau working environment, activities, platform, best practice, BI Repository Business Models and scripting performed within the Oracle BI lower environment.
- Primary support and administration for all non-production Tableau environments DEV, QA
- Provide leadership and ability to mentor team members for continued professional and technical growth in support of the business partners
- Initiates a personal training plan, continue acquiring skills and knowledge, and pursue an understanding of the organizations business plans
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Production Support issue resolution
Non Mandatory Skill Tableau Development skills
Non-Technical Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of SQL, query tuning and performance tuning.
- Understanding of Data Visualization Analytical tools and data warehousing best practices and techniques a plus.
- Preferable secondary experience in any of the BI reporting platform OBIEE, Qlikview, Spotfire, Micro Strategy, SAS, Informatica is a plus.
