Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Veeva Technical Architect – Veeva Promo Mats to lead the architecture, design, implementation, integration, and optimization of enterprise-scale Veeva Vault Promo Mats solutions for global Life Sciences organizations. This role requires deep expertise in Veeva Vault Promo Mats, strong enterprise architecture capabilities, regulatory understanding within pharmaceutical/biotech environments, and the ability to lead complex digital content and medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review ecosystems.
The ideal candidate will serve as the technical authority across business stakeholders, delivery teams, validation teams, and integration partners. The candidate must be comfortable operating in a client-facing environment, driving technical strategy, governing best practices, and delivering scalable, compliant, and high-performing Promo Mats solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end architecture and technical solutioning for Veeva Vault Promo Mats implementations, enhancements, migrations, and support initiatives.
- Design scalable, compliant, and high-performance Promo Mats solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
- Define enterprise architecture standards, integration strategies, governance frameworks, and implementation best practices.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for Promo Mats capabilities including:
- Digital Asset Management (DAM)
- MLR Review Process
- Claims Management
- Content Lifecycle Management
- Modular Content
- Renditions and Distribution
- eTMF/Quality integrations where applicable
- Architect multi-country and global deployment strategies for promotional content management.
- Veeva Vault Configuration & Development
- Lead advanced configuration activities within Veeva Vault:
- Object model design
- Document lifecycle configuration
- Workflow configuration
- Security model setup
- Role-based access controls
- SDK/API-based extensions
- Validation rules
- Notifications and automation
- Provide architectural guidance for:
- Vault Java SDK
- REST APIs
- VQL
- Vault Loader
- Custom integrations
- Evaluate technical limitations and propose scalable alternatives.
- Integration Architecture
- Architect and oversee integrations between Veeva Promo Mats and enterprise systems including:
- Salesforce CRM
- Adobe Experience Manager
- Content Management Systems
- Regulatory systems
- Identity and Access Management tools
- Design secure and scalable API integration frameworks.
- Ensure robust data governance, synchronization, and audit readiness.
- Compliance & Validation
- Ensure all solutions comply with:
- GxP
- FDA regulations
- CSV/CSA standards
- Pharmaceutical promotional review requirements
- Support validation documentation and audit readiness activities.
- Collaborate with QA and compliance teams during validation cycles.
- Stakeholder & Delivery Management
- Partner with business stakeholders, MLR teams, regulatory affairs, marketing operations, and IT leadership to define strategic roadmaps.
- Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and solution demonstrations.
- Mentor developers, administrators, and junior architects.
- Provide effort estimation, technical planning, risk mitigation, and delivery governance.
- Support pre-sales activities, solution proposals, and architecture presentations when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of IT experience with at least 10+ years focused on Veeva Vault technologies.
- 7+ years of deep hands-on experience specifically with Veeva Vault Promo Mats.
- Strong expertise in:
- Veeva Vault architecture
- Promo Mats implementation
- Vault configuration and customization
- DAM and MLR workflows
- Vault APIs and SDK
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations.
- Strong understanding of Life Sciences regulatory and compliance environments.
- Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work onsite with cross-functional business and technical teams in the US.

- Commercial content ecosystems
- Experience with cloud platforms and middleware technologies.
- Exposure to Dev Ops, CI/CD, automated deployment, and release governance for Vault environments.
- Knowledge of AI-enabled content review or digital content operations is a plus.
- Experience in large global pharmaceutical or biotech organizations.
