Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Manager, Supply Chain Procurement, Packaging within the Med Tech Procurement Team. This position will be located in Raritan, NJ.
Position Summary
The Manager, Packaging Procurement is responsible for developing and executing sourcing and category strategies across assigned selected packaging sub-categories. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders (R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing) to ensure reliable supply, cost competitiveness, compliance, and innovation delivery.
Scope of Role
Sourcing & Execution
- Lead sourcing initiatives to identify optimal supplier partners and deliver cost, quality, and service improvements
- Conduct spend analysis and leverage market intelligence
- Execute RFQs, negotiations, and supplier selection
- Drive productivity, cost reduction, and inflation mitigation
Category Strategy
- Support development and execution of category strategies
- Provide insights into market trends and supplier capabilities
- Contribute to material and supplier strategy decisions
- Supplier Management
- Manage global supplier relationships to ensure performance
- Lead supplier performance reviews and improvement initiatives
- Identify and mitigate supply risks
- Contracting
- Negotiate and implement contracts aligned with procurement strategy
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with stakeholders across R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations
- Represent procurement in cross-functional initiatives
- Process & Governance
- Contribute to procurement processes and policies
- Support adoption of tools and best practices
Key Deliverables / KPIs
- Cost savings and inflation mitigation
- Supplier performance
- Contract coverage
- Strategy deployment
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 5–7 years procurement experience
- Strong procurement fundamentals and negotiation experience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
Preferred
- Experience in packaging procurement or direct materials
- Experience in healthcare or regulated industries
- Knowledge of packaging materials and regulations
- Advanced degree preferred
- SAP/ERP familiarity
Additional Details
- English proficiency required
- Travel: approximately 10–20%

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program. Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
