Position Overview
Sourcing Manager‑Med Tech Agile Procurement will be responsible for sourcing execution across Johnson & Johnson’s Med Tech R&D & Commercial Organization, in support of approximately $1.2B in spend. The primary focus will be on Commercial, with potential opportunities to expand into the Med Tech R&D space. This role will be a member of the Med Tech Procurement Agile Team, supporting the highest priority customer needs and leading projects in small, self‑organizing, cross‑functional teams that work in short cycles, delivering value iteratively, and engaging frequently with the business.
This individual will identify, develop and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and objectives, plan and direct the organization’s activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence. They will partner with the Business Engagement Leads, Category Leads, and Med Tech Business to operate in a culture of customer‑centricity, empowerment, speed, responsiveness, and efficiency, delivering incremental value realization and improved customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Sourcing execution across Commercial Categories to meet long‑range requirements and deliver maximum value for J&J.
- Lead Agile Project Teams and collaborate with BEL/FEL and Category Leads to align J&J’s objectives, including quality, reliability, innovation, and cost.
- Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments.
- Build and maintain relationships throughout J&J with dynamic dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and critical information.
- Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers, conducting data review and analysis, performance management, and improvement to bring innovation to the business.
- Identify, develop and implement procurement goals and category strategies based on deep subject‑matter expertise and understanding of industry/market dynamics.
- Raise issues that may impact the Global Procurement organization.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent university degree is required.
Required Experience and Skills- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience.
- Broad understanding of business operations and core procurement areas (spend management, category management, supplier management).
- Leadership, communication, influencing, collaboration and talent development skills.
- Ability to prioritize requests and propose effective cost‑/customer‑service alternatives when necessary.
- Judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues.
- Customer orientation: building and maintaining strong relationships with J&J senior management.
- Project management skills.
- Data analytics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with core procurement skills (supplier management, performance, market analysis, category management, procurement excellence).
- Credibility with internal customers and the supplier community.
- Ability to influence and understand differing needs of partners (businesses, Procurement leadership, marketing, R&D, supply chain).
- Experience in Med Tech, R&D, and/or agile sourcing.
- Requires up to 10% domestic travel.

PayThe anticipated base pay range for this position is $102,000 – $177,100.
Compensation and BenefitsThe Company maintains highly competitive, performance‑based compensation programs. Employees are eligible for an annual performance bonus and a long‑term incentive program.
