Job Title and Location

Lenti Operations Supervisor – Manufacturing Assembly (Raritan, New Jersey, United States).

Job Overview

Placed in the lenti operations team, this exempt position supervises daily production of lentiviral vector to support the commercial BCMA CART product in a sterile cGMP environment. The supervisor coordinates shift operations, leads daily meetings and ensures safe, compliant, cGMP manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise lentiviral vector end‑to‑end manufacturing process according to SOPs, batch records, ensuring safe and compliant operations per cGMP requirements.
  • Conduct daily start‑of‑shift and wrap‑up meetings, assign duties and ensure task completion.
  • Provide guidance and perform production tasks with operators, maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Support manufacturing investigations, create/revise operational procedures, master batch records, forms and manage change controls.
  • Build partnerships with Manufacturing Investigations, Facilities, Engineering and Quality; first point of contact for floor operators.
  • Support process optimization, participate in departmental projects, drive continuous improvements and efficiencies.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA guidance related to drug substance manufacturing and cleanroom behaviors.
  • Strong leadership and effective communication with staff and management.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks, integrate cross‑functional issues, balance competing priorities.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities and critical deadlines in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills; change‑agent mindset.
  • Capacity to build partnerships and collaborate with external stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Shift‑flexible (including evenings and weekends); physical ability to use computers, lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Willingness to participate in production runs when needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of operations experience in a cGMP environment within biotech/biopharma (preferred).
  • Prior experience in aseptic manufacturing and leadership roles (required).
  • Experience in manufacturing, quality or engineering (required).
  • Operational Excellence and/or Lean Manufacturing experience (asset).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills (required).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) (required).
  • Availability to accommodate schedule changes and shift work (required).
  • Experience with cGMP systems: MES lite, eLIMs, Siemens, SAP (preferred).
  • Physical ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods (required).
  • Will travel up to 10% domestic.

Compensation

Base pay range: $79,000 – $120,700.

Benefits Summary

Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year;
Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year;
Holiday pay (incl. Floating Holidays) – 13 days per calendar year;
Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year;
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child;
Condolence Leave – 30 days for an immediate family member; 5 days for an extended family member;
Caregiver Leave – 10 days;
Volunteer Leave – 4 days;
