Senior Medical Director—Oncology (Multiple Myeloma) – Global Medical Affairs, Johnson & Johnson.
Location:
Bridgewater/Raritan, NJ (remote options may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis).
Reporting to the Head of Myeloma and Plasma Cell Disorders, Global Medical Affairs, the Senior Medical Director will lead the conduct of a global clinical study using J&J’s multiple myeloma portfolio to build curative regimens.

- Develop protocol writing and oversee operational execution of new multiple myeloma clinical studies.
- Engage external myeloma experts to support scientific advocacy and engagement of the medical community.
- Participate in interpretation, reporting of research results, and health‑authority interaction.
- Identify new research opportunities through evaluation of scientific information and new ideas.
- Support other clinical‑related medical affairs activities across the myeloma portfolio.
- Assess external clinical research proposals and manuscripts for publication.
- Act as liaison between the company and clinical investigators.
- Lead the internal study working group, collaborating with R&D and regional Medical Affairs colleagues.
- Advanced degree in medicine (MD or equivalent).
- Hematologist or Oncologist, or substantial prior experience leading hematology clinical studies.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical research experience in an academic or pharmaceutical setting.
- Knowledge of basic and clinical cancer or hematology research and its application to drug development.
- Experience in multiple myeloma and working with myeloma experts is highly desired.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Experience working in a matrix team environment.
- Ability to lead a cross‑functional study team.
- Strong commitment to hematology/oncology clinical research and teamwork.
- Up to 20% annual travel (international and domestic).
Johnson & Johnson offers a competitive salary range of $164,000–$282,900, an annual performance bonus, and a long‑term incentive program.
