Brief Description of Duties &
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of books of accounts in line with UAE accounting standards and company policies.
Support preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and monthly cash-flow projections.
Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions, ensuring adherence to approved cash-flow plans.
Ensure timely issuance of client invoices based on certified works and contractual milestones.
Monitor receivables ageing and achieve timely collection targets through proactive follow-up and escalation of high-risk accounts.
Prepare monthly MIS, variance analysis, and financial dashboards for Management review.
Coordinate VAT returns and Corporate Tax documentation, ensuring 100% compliance with statutory timelines.
Support annual audit process, including preparation of schedules and liaison with auditors.
Assist in financial and commercial administration of contracts, including payment terms, guarantees, retentions, and exposure tracking.
Administer and track insurance policies (Medical, Workmen’s Compensation, Property, Marine, Liability, Professional Indemnity, Credit Insurance, etc.) and monitor renewals and claims.
Supervise and guide the Accounts Executive to ensure accuracy, discipline, and timely completion of daily finance operations.
Ensure ERP system integrity by maintaining accurate financial data, approval hierarchies, and coordination with IT for system improvements.
Drive process improvements and system efficiencies to support business growth without compromising financial control.
Ideal Candidate:
A qualified Senior Accountant with strong accounting fundamentals and proven exposure to project-based and contracting environments. Professional certifications such as CA / Inter CA or CPA will be considered a strong added advantage.
Required Skills:
Accounting & Financial Control:
Strong knowledge of AP, AR, GL, month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Budgeting & Cash Flow Management:
Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and variance analysis using Excel and ERP systems.
Contracts & Commercial Awareness:
Working knowledge of contracts, billing milestones, guarantees, retentions, and project financial exposure.
Tax & Compliance Support:
Hands‑on experience in VAT workings and familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax framework and audit requirements.
Insurance & Risk Support:
Understanding of insurance policies relevant to construction/glazing businesses and ability to manage documentation and renewals.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Ability to prepare MIS, financial dashboards, and management reports with strong attention to accuracy and insights.
Systems & Process Improvement: ERP‑savvy with the ability to identify gaps and implement system‑driven process improvements.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:
Effective coordination with operations, contracts, procurement, banks, consultants, and auditors.
