The Role

YOU HAVE TO ALREADY BE BASED IN UAE

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing and processing payroll in full compliance with labor and tax legislation. This role ensures accurate and timely salary payments, statutory reporting, and maintenance of employee records while supporting HR operations and contributing to data‑driven decision‑making.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for all employees.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, bonuses, overtime, allowances, and deductions.
  • Process statutory contributions, taxes, and benefits in compliance with legislation.
  • Maintain compliance with labor law, social security, and tax regulations.
  • Handle payroll audits and inspections when required.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employee records and personnel files.
  • Ensure secure storage and confidentiality of employee data.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a payroll perspective.
  • Monitor and analyze attendance, working hours, and overtime records.
  • Coordinate with department managers regarding leave requests and scheduling.
  • Ensure correct recording and payment of absences, medical leave, and vacations.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret payroll and HR data.
  • Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports on payroll costs, headcount, and attendance.
  • Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support management with data‑driven insights.
  • Handle payroll‑related inquiries and discrepancies professionally.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and department heads.
  • Provide guidance to employees regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
  • Support HR initiatives and organizational projects.
  • Perform other tasks related to payroll and HR operations as assigned by management, within the scope of expertise.
What We Ask Of You
  • Previous experience in a large workforce environment.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Understanding of HR processes, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Detail‑oriented and inquisitive, responsible.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adaptable to changes and able to navigate a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
