Senior Officer – Employer Engagement and Career Development Join Our Team
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Officer – Employer Engagement and Career Development to play a key role in strengthening employer partnerships, expanding student work experience opportunities, and enhancing graduate employability outcomes.
This position is ideal for a professional with strong networking abilities, career coaching experience, and a passion for connecting students and graduates with meaningful employment opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with employers, students, alumni, and internal stakeholders to drive impactful career development initiatives and internship programs.
Key Responsibilities Employer Engagement & Partnerships- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with employers to create internship, work experience, and graduate employment opportunities.
- Expand employer networks through outreach initiatives, partnership development, and industry engagement activities.
- Coordinate employer engagement events, including:
- Recruitment days
- Employer presentations
- Networking events
- On-campus recruitment initiatives
- Foster long-term collaborations that support student employability and workforce readiness.
- Advise students on internship eligibility, application processes, and placement requirements.
- Identify and secure internship opportunities for eligible students.
- Organize and deliver internship preparation workshops and orientation sessions.
- Monitor student progress throughout internships and maintain regular communication with students and employers.
- Collect feedback and evaluate placement outcomes.
- Support compliance with institutional policies, MOHESR, and NAFIS requirements where applicable.
- Ensure all internship-related processes and documentation meet regulatory standards.
- Provide one-to-one career advising and coaching to students and recent graduates.
- Deliver engaging career readiness workshops on:
- CV and résumé writing
- Interview preparation
- Linked In optimization
- Networking skills
- Job search strategies
- Organize career fairs, recruitment events, employer information sessions, and networking opportunities.
- Support students in developing professional competencies and achieving career goals.
- Maintain accurate employer databases and partnership records.
- Manage work experience documentation and reporting requirements.
- Prepare KPI reports, outcomes assessments, and CHEDS-related reports.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Business Administration
- Mass Communication
- Education
- Liberal Arts
- Or a related discipline
- Fluent in both English and Arabic.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- 4–6 years of professional work experience after obtaining a bachelor's degree.
- Experience in a customer-facing environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of higher education environments.
- Experience working with students, alumni, and employer communities.
- Proven success in building partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
