On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in Spring 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five‑star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Horticulture Manager – Wynn Oasis to join the resort’s Wynn Oasis team.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of all horticultural tasks, tree management and the preservation and enhancement of all the landscape across Oasis and Wynn properties.
  • In conjunction with the Horticulture Director’s plan, monitor, and optimize CAFM‑driven planned, condition‑based, and reactive maintenance programs and Maximo workflows to ensure the optimum health off all trees is maintained year‑round.
  • Assign and manage work orders, ensuring efficiency and productivity from the team and adherence to service level agreements (SLA) and Wynn’s quality standards.
  • Scheduled, regular (daily, weekly & monthly) inspections of all trees to verify both preventative and reactive maintenance and repairs are executed on time and to the highest standards.
  • Manage regular maintenance, new installations, replacements and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot complex diagnoses of all pest and disease and treat accordingly so that every component of the landscape is maintained to the most optimum health year‑round.
  • Analyze corrective maintenance trends to refine preventive and condition‑based strategies for improved efficiency, health and performance of all plants and trees.
  • Provide cross‑disciplined horticultural support within the team by responding to requests in respect of all landscape problems across the resort and Oasis Campus.
  • Raise purchase orders for operational supplies and control expenses.
  • Support landscape design reviews, procurement, and commissioning for new plantings and alternative species that are not
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal project teams to ensure all trees meet the Wynn landscape specifications and industry standards.
  • Integrate with other FM departments around event management under direction from the Asst Director of Horticulture.
  • Provide a hands‑on leadership style, responsible for creating a customer focused culture that is based on delivering results, transparency and trust, whilst building organizational capability and empowerment.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of horticulturalists, promoting technical excellence and professional growth.
  • guest services for performances, conferences, and special functions.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Land Management, Arboriculture or Environmental Science or a similar related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in arboriculture & tree management, with supervisory experience in luxury hospitality, integrated resorts, or large‑scale commercial / industrial settings preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of tree management, maintenance, operations and pest control
  • Proficiency in working at heights, tree climbing, large scale transplanting internally & externally
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a 24/7 resort environment.
  • Commitment to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in English;
    Arabic is an advantage.
  • Management within a dedicated arborist team is advantageous.
