Project Director - Civil

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the overall strategic direction and execution of large-scale civil projects ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
• Provide decisive leadership and oversight throughout the project lifecycle from initial planning and design to construction, commissioning and handover.
• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary project team fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment to achieve project objectives.
• Oversee the development and management of project budgets, schedules and resource allocation ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks including technical, financial and contractual issues to minimize potential disruptions.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and regulatory agencies ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, safety protocols and environmental regulations throughout all project phases.
• Review and approve project deliverables including technical drawings, specifications and progress reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization.

• Demonstrate 20+ years of progressive experience in civil construction, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.
• Possess extensive experience in the construction of projects such as villas, shopping malls, high rise towers, hospitals and commercial/residential buildings.
• Exhibit a strong understanding of local and international building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrate a proactive and results-oriented approach with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exhibit the ability to make critical decisions under pressure, managing complex situations and ensuring project success.
