Job Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities for armored vehicles and defense solutions. The role focuses on expanding market presence, building strong relationships with government, military, and commercial clients, and achieving revenue growth targets across assigned regions.
Key Responsibilities- Business Growth & Sales:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in defense, security, and government sectors; promote armored vehicle solutions including military, police, and VIP transport vehicles; achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets; prepare and deliver commercial proposals, bids, and tenders. - Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, defense ministries, and private security firms; conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and negotiations; understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions. - Market Development:
Analyze market trends in defense, security, and armored vehicle industries; identify new territories and expansion opportunities; monitor competitors and pricing strategies. - Tender & Contract Management:
Manage end-to-end tender processes (RFQs, RFPs, bids); coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics teams for proposal accuracy; ensure compliance with international trade and export regulations. - Internal
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to align client requirements; liaise with logistics and export departments for delivery planning; support marketing initiatives and exhibitions such as defense expos and trade shows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, International Relations, or related field.
- 5–10+ years of experience in business development or sales (preferably defense/automotive/industrial sector).
- Strong knowledge of armored vehicle, defense, or heavy automotive industries is an advantage.
- Experience working with government or military clients preferred.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strategic thinking and market analysis.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, target-driven environments.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Knowledge of export sales and international trade regulations.
- Experience in defense exhibitions (e.g., IDEX, defense expos).
- Multilingual abilities (English required; Arabic/French/Russian is a plus).
- Strong network within defense/security procurement sectors.
