The Sales Director will lead the commercial strategy and execution for the armored vehicle division, driving revenue growth across regional and international markets. The role requires strong leadership of the Business Development team, active client engagement, and frequent travel to develop and maintain high-value government, military, and private‑sector relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the overall sales strategy for armored vehicles, including military, security, VIP transport, cash‑in‑transit, and related services.
- Identify and penetrate new markets across the GCC, Africa, Asia, and other target regions.
- Set annual sales targets, forecasts, and regional growth plans.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs). Define KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure achievement of targets.
- Build a high‑performance sales culture focused on accountability and results.
- Support BDMs in key negotiations and strategic accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with government entities, defense procurement agencies, security companies, and private VIP clients.
- Lead high‑value negotiations and contract closures.
- Attend international exhibitions, defense expos, and industry events.
- Ensure long‑term client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Represent the company at defense and automotive security trade shows.
- Oversee the preparation of bids, proposals, and tender submissions.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and compliance teams to meet client specifications.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations and defense‑related requirements.
- Work closely with production, engineering, finance, and logistics teams to ensure order fulfillment.
- Provide regular sales reports and market intelligence to senior leadership.
- Support pricing strategy and margin optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8–15+ years of experience in automotive, defense, security, or armored vehicle sales.
- Proven track record of closing high‑value B2G and B2B contracts.
- Strong leadership experience managing sales or BDM teams.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills at senior/government level.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Strong understanding of defense procurement cycles is an advantage.
