Responsibilities
- Provide excellent and consistent service to customers while efficiently running the department in line with Rixos Corporate Strategies and brand standards.
- Assist the PR Manager or Marketing Manager in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the hotel’s marketing communications strategy, including advertising, promotions, public relations, graphics, and collateral.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established hotel policies to achieve position objectives.
- Handle incoming calls, take messages, and forward details to the relevant persons.
- Attend departmental and communication meetings at the request of the Director of Sales.
- Attend major events in the hotel and city at the request of the Department Head.
- Ensure adherence to Rixos Hotels Marketing and Sales Policies and Standard Operational Procedures at all times.
- Promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy, and a high standard of social skills.
- Encourage good inter‑departmental relations.
- Display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times while promoting a good company image to guests and colleagues.
- Demonstrate pride in workplace and personal appearance, representing the hotel with a high level of commitment.
- Adhere to company and hotel rules and regulations at all times.
- Maintain professional business confidentiality.
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Mac, Adobe applications, and other available technology for reporting, communication, and client correspondence.
- Adapt to sudden increases in working hours as business needs dictate.
- Report equipment failures or problems to the Maintenance Department.
- Participate in any training or development schemes recommended by senior management.
- Assist the Marketing Manager with tasks as detailed by them.
- Comply with any reasonable requests made by management to the best of your ability.
- Ensure that the standards required by law and management are maintained at all times.
- Strong conceptual thinker with a wide range of design capabilities.
- Solid background in print, packaging, branding, typography, digital design, and art directing.
- Experience directing photography shoots, both studio and location settings.
- Expertise in Creative Suite software and industry standard programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator for use in print and digital media.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Mac platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
- Minimum 2–3 years working experience within a design firm or other creative team environment.
