About Wynn Al Marjan Island:
On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in Spring 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five‑star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.
The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Master Carpenter to join the resort’s Entertainment Administration team.
The Primary Duties and Responsibilities of This Role Are- Manage carpentry shop operations including inventory, equipment maintenance, and material procurement.
- Supervise and train carpentry crew, assign tasks, and ensure quality workmanship.
- Ensure all scenic elements meet safety standards and comply with OSHA regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of build plans, materials used, and safety inspections.
- Collaborate with other departments including lighting, rigging, and automation to ensure seamless integration of scenic elements.
- Attend production meetings and provide input on feasibility, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Support emergency repairs and modifications during performances as needed.
- Ensure the carpentry workspace is clean, organized, and safe.
- Any other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor's degree in Technical Theatre or related field preferred. - Minimum of 5 years professional experience in theatrical carpentry, including supervisory roles.
- Extensive knowledge of scenic construction techniques, materials, and tools.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and build plans.
- Experience with automated scenic elements and rigging systems is a plus.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by production schedules.
- Any other duties as assigned.
