Position Overview

Interstate Concrete & Asphalt Co., a CRH Company, offers an opportunity for individuals to operate a scale weighing aggregate trucks and assist customers in product pickup. This role focuses on ensuring efficient truck weighing, accurate record keeping, cash handling, and customer communication within a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

$23/hr plus DOE with potential for overtime.

• Ensure efficiency of weighing trucks across scale.
• Monitor load sizes of company trucks.
• Serve all customer pick‑up business.
• Handle cash procedures: receive and log cash from C.O.D. sales and gravel tickets; balance and maintain cash box daily.
• Communicate with loader operator via two‑way radio to coordinate loading of pick‑up customers.
• Greet and assist visitors entering the yard, enforcing site‑specific safety rules.
• Collect and sort aggregate order cards with delivery tickets.
• Enter delivery times from concrete tickets into the computer system.
• Maintain MSHA Part 46 Log to ensure compliance.
• Record accurate delivery and product information on orders, negotiate delivery times with customers.
• Travel between various local work site locations as needed.
• Assist in high call volume situations while multitasking with plants and office staff; able to sit for long periods.
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries of aggregate and/or concrete products to construction and residential sites as proficiency grows.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to meet business needs.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Proficient with Microsoft Windows applications, with exceptional typing skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Availability to work overtime and varying shifts, including early mornings, late afternoons, and Saturdays.
• Must pass pre‑employment controlled substance testing.
• Ability to address problems professionally and courteously.
• Safety‑mindful professional with good performance and attendance record.
