From operating a loader to supply the plant with materials to coordinating all aspects of asphalt production, you'll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Plant Operator:

* Maintain asphalt plant operations to ensure timely production of asphalt.

* Verify specified asphalt mix and enter correct mix design into computer. Monitor gauges, dials and operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications.

* Coordinate production and loading of all asphalt leaving the plant.

* Communicate and receive directions from dispatch, drivers, operators and customers via radio or phone.

* Service and grease plant parts, i.e. change belts, grease bearings, and maintain cleanliness of the plant.

* Order and maintain inventory of plant parts, grease, asphalt oil, etc.

* Direct general operations of loader operator, laborer and scale operator.

* Production planning and quality assurance related to asphalt production.

Loader Operator:

* Ensure necessary supply of materials for asphalt plant is available.

* Load trucks with proper materials for delivery.

* Fuel, oil, grease and check other necessary loader parts to ensure proper function of equipment.

* Maintain cleanliness of plant premises.

* Perform general maintenance and repair on equipment as assigned.

* Stomp lumps and poke material during cold weather.

* Assist crew, including shoveling and clean-up.

* Routinely assist with general labor and maintenance tasks.

Other Related Responsibilities

* Routinely assist other members of the work force in different areas of production.

* Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.

* Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.

* Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.

* Regular and timely attendance.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Minimum Requirements

* Must have a valid driver's license.
