Stan Craft Marine is seeking an experienced Service Technician (Marine Mechanic) to join our team. If you have a passion for boating, strong mechanical skills, and take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of marine engines and boat systems while providing an outstanding experience for our customers. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our customers enjoy safe, reliable time on the water.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair gasoline marine engines, outboard motors, and related marine systems
• Perform inspections, testing, and sea trials to verify repairs and performance
• Install and service steering systems, electrical components, trim systems, hardware, and accessories
• Use diagnostic equipment and testing tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues
• Create and maintain accurate repair orders, service records, and documentation
• Communicate repair recommendations, estimates, and timelines with customers
• Obtain customer approvals and keep service records updated in company systems
• Coordinate towing or temporary transportation arrangements when necessary
• Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize repairs and meet completion deadlines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards

• Previous experience as a Marine Mechanic or Service Technician required
• Strong knowledge of marine engines, boat systems, and marine equipment
• Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to provide accurate repair assessments and recommendations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma or GED

This position involves working in both shop and outdoor environments and may include:

• Exposure to weather conditions
• Exposure to engine fumes, dust, and loud noise
• Lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined spaces
• Occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak boating season
