OverviewLG Chem Ohio Petrochemical, Inc. (LGCOP) has created an entry‑level, 12‑month Logistics Internship position to support our Logistics Team at the Ravenna, Ohio ABS Compounding Facility. This full‑time hourly role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment across Production Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain. Interns will learn about creating sales and purchase orders, preparing shipping documents, inventory management, monitoring shipment status, and supporting sales.
Responsibilities- Handle general administrative tasks for the Logistics Team, including managing recurring payments for vendors and suppliers.
- Enter and manage data in SAP.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement areas.
- Assist with order processing, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with finance & accounting, quality, production, sales, and marketing departments.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to shipments, inventory, and orders.
- Generate reports on logistics performance metrics and present findings to management.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving logistics processes and efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or a business‑related field.
- 0–1 year(s) of work experience in logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, or vendor sourcing; internships during undergraduate studies are acceptable.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Hands‑on experience in a leading manufacturing company (preferred).

Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, 40 hours per week with eligible overtime compensation.
