Operations

Incumbent is responsible for operation and maintenance of the three (3) Water Plants and ensuring the treatment of drinking water meets all requirements by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

• Trouble shooting operational problems and taking responsible action to correct problems
• Ensuring work is carried out safely and accurately and within required time frames
• Supervising, assisting, and monitoring water operation decisions
• Reviewing daily logs and assuring appropriate tests have been performed
• Responding and resolving customer complaints
• Reading prints, preparing reports, specifications, and participating in annual budgets
• Scheduling and supervising the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities, including preventive, corrective, and emergency tasks
• Supervising contract labor in the repair, maintenance, installation, and calibration of equipment
• Training of operations and subordinate employees in the proper operation of equipment, treatment systems, safety practices, and Departmental procedures
