Position Summary
This role offers a starting wage of $22.50 per hour. In this skilled manufacturing role, you will set up and operate industrial braiding to add non‑metallic braided layers to hydraulic hose of various sizes and characteristics for use in transportation, agricultural, aviation, and industrial settings. Our Braider Machine Operators set up and operate braiding machines and other associated equipment. You will be responsible for the safe production of quality products to meet the motion‑control needs of our customers.
Responsibilities- Make complete line setups on jobs from charts and specifications.
- Operate line, maintaining proper speeds, adjustments, etc., to ensure a quality product and production rates.
- Perform continuous inspections of product both visual as well as using micrometers and calipers. Record product and process parameters.
- Perform repairs to equipment, assist others in maintenance when major repairs are required to any equipment on assigned line.
- Complete all necessary records, reports, etc., as required, giving particular attention to proper part number, job number and quantity per pallet or reel.
- Package product according to instructions to include the making of cartons and spools as required.
- Assemble packaging materials as required by Job Sheet.
- Perform work of an equal or lower classification as required.
High school diploma or GED
- Our manufacturing roles do have some minimum physical requirements, standing for 8+ hours during a shift, the ability to wear required PPE such as safety shoes, eye protection (glasses/goggles), hearing protection, safety vests, and gloves. Must have the ability to perceive color accurately and hear plant paging, alarms, and other important auditory signals. Must have the ability to sort items by size, shape, and color.
Includes pushing, pulling, kneeling, and squatting and that ability to lift objects up to 45 pounds safely as part of daily duties.
