The Shipping Associate is responsible for supporting the manufacturing operation by ensuring finished products are accurately staged, packaged, documented, and shipped to customers in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production flow, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction by coordinating outbound shipments, verifying product quantities and specifications, and complying with all quality, safety, and shipping requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, package, label, and stage finished goods for shipment in accordance with customer specifications and company standards.
- Verify product quantities, part numbers, lot numbers, and shipment documentation to ensure order accuracy.
- Coordinate daily shipping activities to meet customer delivery schedules and production requirements.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring product integrity and compliance with safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning, cycle counts, and inventory transactions within the ERP or inventory management system.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Planning, and Customer Service teams to prioritize shipments and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Organize and maintain shipping and staging areas to support efficient workflow and housekeeping standards.
- Assist with receiving, inventory control, and warehouse activities as needed.
- Investigate and report shipping errors, damaged goods, inventory discrepancies, and carrier issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery performance, and operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing and distribution operations.
High School Diploma or GED, 3 Years of manufacturing experience in a factory setting. Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record. Certified tow motor operator. Ability to drive a box truck is required.
