Overview
Big-D Heavy Industrial is seeking a dynamic Project Manager - Traveling. This role offers a path to growth within a company focused on innovation, purpose, and excellence in the heavy industrial sector. This position will be located near Rawlins, WY.
Responsibilities- Lead teams to maximize the contributions of each member and maintain a strong focus on customer service (internal and external).
- Review and understand prime contracts with the Project Director and provide redline changes as needed; interpret prime contracts and subcontract agreements for the team.
- Manage projects across various construction delivery methods, including Design-Build, CMGC, and hard bid formats; ensure quality control of plans and specifications.
- Develop solutions to prevent issues from becoming problems and build strong cross-department relationships.
- Monitor risk, develop contingency plans, and coordinate resources to support the project as required.
- Oversee and guide project team administration and technical direction on one or more projects; monitor CPM schedule progress and ensure safety oversight.
- Document changes or deviations from the contract clearly and promptly; assist with technical writing for proposals and select subcontractors.
- Coordinate construction activities among owners, public agencies, facility operations, tenants, and utilities to achieve schedule, budget, and quality goals.
- Negotiate subcontract modifications, ensure prime and subcontractor contractual requirements are met, and provide timely reporting of costs, changes, schedules, and insurance data.
- Provide technical and procedural construction direction to internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
- 6–8 years of experience on heavy industrial projects.
