Job Summary

Big-D Heavy Industrial is looking for a dynamic Project Manager
- Traveling to join our team near Rawlins, WY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads teams to maximize contributions of each member.
  • Exhibits strong commitment to customer service, both internal and external.
  • Reviews prime contract and provides red‑line changes.
  • Provides detailed contractual interpretations on prime contracts and subcontract agreements.
  • Manages projects in various construction delivery methods including Design Build, Construction Manager/General Contractor, and Hard bid formats.
  • Understands design process and performs quality‑control review of plans/specifications.
  • Develops solutions to ensure issues never become problems.
  • Builds strong relationships with other departments within Big-D.
  • Oversees risk management and develops contingency plans.
  • Recognizes project issues and coordinates required resources to support projects.
  • Supervises project team administration and technical direction for single or multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Monitors CPM schedule progress through updated schedules.
  • Oversees project safety and holds team members accountable.
  • Ensures project team performs all tasks efficiently and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Directs, guides, assists, plans, and supports the design team as required.
  • Documents all changes or deviations from contract documents and notifies owners of potential issues.
  • Creates technical writing for proposals.
  • Assists in developing prequalified subcontractor lists, reviews qualifications, and awards contracts.
  • Coordinates construction activities of owners, public agencies, facility operations, tenants, and utility companies to achieve schedule, budget, and quality goals.
  • Negotiates subcontract modifications to manage risk.
  • Ensures prime and subcontractor contractual requirements are met prior to work.
  • Provides technical and procedural construction direction to internal and external shareholders.
  • Provides prompt and accurate reporting of costs, changes, schedules, and insurance data.
  • Reviews and approves change‑order requests and onsite change orders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a similar field.
  • 6‑8 years of related experience working on Heavy Industrial projects.
