Carbon County School District #1 seeks reliable and enthusiastic substitute teachers to provide temporary classroom instruction in the absence of regular teaching staff. Substitute teachers maintain continuity of instruction and ensure a safe, productive learning environment for students in grades K-12.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Follow lesson plans and instructional materials prepared by the regular classroom teacher
* Maintain classroom management and established routines
* Supervise students in classroom and other school settings
* Take attendance and maintain accurate records
* Report student progress, behavior concerns, and classroom events to the regular teacher and administration
* Enforce school and district policies, rules, and procedures
* Ensure student safety and well-being throughout the school day
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Must obtain a Substitute Teaching Permit from the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB)
* Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and abilities
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom environments
Compensation
$145 per day
Conditions of Employment
* Successful completion of background check
* Fingerprinting required during onboarding
