Firefighter

Salary: $3,397 - $4,620 per month ($47,944 per year)

• Respond to fire alarms and other emergency calls.
• Operate fire suppression equipment, including engines, ladder trucks, tenders, and rescue units.
• Provide basic life support and EMS services.
• Assist in rescue, entry, ventilation, salvage, and hazardous‑materials operations.
• Participate in station maintenance, fire prevention inspections, and public education.
• Attend scheduled drills, training, and continuing education programs.

• High school diploma or equivalent and minimum age of 18 at the time of hire.
• Ability to obtain a Wyoming Commercial Driver’s License within six months of employment.
• Completion of Wyoming Emergency Medical Technician‑Basic and Wyoming Firefighter I certification within the first year.
• Residency within ten miles of Fire Station 1 (320 West Walnut).
