Reinstatement Operative; White​/Black

Overview

We are recruiting a Reinstatement Operative to join our team in Yorkshire. You will work in a team of skilled operatives to carry out replacing manhole frames and covers efficiently across the Rotherham area, as part of proactively and reactively maintaining the Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond.

• Replace manhole frames and covers efficiently; excavate by hand; replace gullies with precision and care; complete all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.).
• Carry out site-specific risk assessments and discuss any changes with team members and site supervisor.
• Ensure on- and off-site activity is compliant with highways permits to avoid penalties.
• Update and complete site documentation using an electronic tablet.
• Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with tasks.
• Record photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed.
• Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment.
• Ensure highway reinstatement is compliant to avoid defects.
• Be able to read and understand drainage plans.

• Full UK driving license (Required)
• Training will include NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, Face Fit Tested – FFP3
