RBG Inc. is seeking a skilled Equipment Upfit Technician to join our growing production team. This position is responsible for installing and assembling a wide range of truck‑mounted equipment, including:
Dur‑A‑Lift bucket trucks, Cranes, Digger derricks, Dump bodies, Chip bodies, Log loaders,and additional specialty truck equipment
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical ability, welding experience, electrical installation skills, and enjoys hands‑on fabrication work. You will play a key role in building high‑quality, custom equipment thatmeets RBG’s standards for safety, reliability, and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities- Install bucket trucks, cranes, diggers, dump bodies, chip bodies, log loaders, andother mounted equipment
- Fit,mount, and align hydraulic and mechanical components
- Position,layout, and prepare chassis and equipment for assembly
- Perform
MIG welding on brackets, supports, subframes, and custom components - Cut,grind, drill, and fabricate metal components as needed
- Assistin designing and fabricating custom mounting solutions
- Install
12V wiring, harnesses, lighting, switches, and relays - Follow wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
- Troubleshoot electrical systems during builds or testing
- Install inverters, AC/heat units, and other related electrical components
- Readand follow build sheets, diagrams, and technical instructions
- Work closely with the production team to meet build deadlines
- Keep aclean, safe, and organized work environment
- Assist with additional production tasks as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- MIG welding experience (TIG a bonus, but not required)
- Experience with mechanical assembly and metal fabrication
- Abilityto install and troubleshoot 12V electrical systems
- Abilityto read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and build sheets
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ableto lift and handle components in a shop environment
- Experienceupfitting trucks or heavy equipment
- Hydraulic system or PTO experience
- Automotive,diesel, or equipment‑related background
$28-$38 per hour, based on experience
