The Certified Nurse Aide will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with resident assessments and care plans.

• Assist residents with bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, caring for hair and nails, and moving residents around the facility.
• Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure.
• Measure and record vital signs as assigned by the Charge Nurse.
• Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries.
• Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and needs to resident care plans.
• Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes in residents’ conditions to the Charge Nurse.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

• Must hold a valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.

• Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

The physical demands of the role include regular lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, and sliding/transferring of weights ranging from 1 to 50 pounds. The position requires standing, sitting, walking, speaking, driving, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, hearing, seeing, turning, twisting, and leaning motions. Specific duties may involve lifting 1-25 lbs frequently, lifting 25-50 lbs frequently, lifting 50+ lbs occasionally, carrying 1-25 lbs frequently, carrying 25-50 lbs frequently, carrying 50+ lbs occasionally, pushing/pulling 1-25 lbs frequently, pushing/pulling 25-50 lbs frequently, pushing/pulling 50+ lbs frequently, sliding/transferring 1-25 lbs frequently, sliding/transferring 25-50 lbs frequently, sliding/transferring 50+ lbs frequently, and other physical activities as required.
