We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support day-to-day receivables operations for a team based in Raymore, Missouri. This long-term contract opportunity is well suited to someone who is organized, service-minded, and confident managing customer account activity with accuracy and professionalism. The position focuses on maintaining payment records, resolving account issues, and coordinating with internal partners to keep billing and cash application processes running smoothly.
Responsibilities include managing incoming payments, applying cash accurately, and maintaining up-to-date customer account records. Additionally, the role involves reviewing open balances, investigating discrepancies, and following through on collection activity in a timely and thorough manner. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will respond to customer questions regarding invoices, credits, and payment status while delivering strong service. Processing checks and other forms of remittance in accordance with established procedures and compliance expectations is also part of the role.
Researching disputed items, documenting findings clearly, and working with internal teams to support resolution are key duties. Monitoring receivables activity using office systems and tools, including SAP R/3 when applicable, is required. Preparing account updates, financial notes, and status information for leadership or cross-functional stakeholders is also necessary. Supporting standardized operating procedures by following defined workflows and helping maintain consistent documentation is essential.
Lastly, assisting with onsite administrative coordination related to office functions and departmental processes as needed is part of the role.
