Administrative Specialist

Schedule:
Mon-Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Travel will be required when not working in the Raymore office setting.)
As an Administrative Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting department operations by coordinating communications, managing projects, organizing meetings, and helping teams stay connected and efficient. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in keeping processes organized and moving forward. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for department communications, directing inquiries and supporting internal coordination.
- Provide administrative support to department leadership and team members on a variety of projects and assignments.
- Prepare, edit, and enhance presentations, reports, and other business documents.
- Maintain department software, spreadsheets, filing systems, and dashboards to support efficient operations.
- Coordinate meetings, trainings, logistics, and advisory board communications.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting and other departmental initiatives.
- Support community engagement activities in collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Receive and distribute department deliveries and materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and recommend efficiencies.
- Travel within Missouri to support meetings with leadership as needed.
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- High School/GED required
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications, and ability to learn and effectively use department-specific software
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A valid, unrestricted driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and assignments
