Third Grade Teacher
Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated third grade teacher to join our dynamic team at Creekmoor Elementary for the school year. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate educator who fosters a love of learning and creates a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for young students. This role involves planning and delivering effective lessons in core subjects, nurturing each student's academic, social, and emotional growth, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student success.
The qualified candidate should hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri certificate for grades K-6.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing age-appropriate, engaging lessons in core subjects that align with state and school curriculum standards. Establishing and maintaining a positive, structured learning environment by using proactive behavior management techniques that promote respect, cooperation, and safety. Regularly assessing students through various methods to track progress and ensure mastery of key skills. Providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs, ensuring that all students, including those with special needs, gifted students, and English language learners, can succeed and thrive. Working with fellow teachers, specialists, and school staff to align curriculum, share best practices, and support each student's learning journey. Maintaining open communication with parents/guardians to share student progress, address concerns, and foster a positive home-school partnership.
Supporting students' social, emotional, and ethical growth through activities that build critical thinking, creativity, empathy, and teamwork. Integrating technology and multimedia tools to enhance learning experiences and keep students engaged.
