The City of Raymore, Missouri is seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join the Integrated Technology Systems Department. This advanced technical role is responsible for the overall health, security, and performance of the City’s technology infrastructure.
Under the general supervision and primary direction of the Integrated Technology Systems Director, the Systems Administrator is responsible for the following. (Listed duties are not all-encompassing.)
Key Responsibilities Include:
Configuring, administering, and maintaining server platforms, operating systems, and virtual environments.
Managing directory services, user access, and ensuring system availability and reliability.
Implementing and managing robust cybersecurity measures, including endpoint protection, system patching, security monitoring, and responding to security incidents.
Administering cloud-based productivity and collaboration platforms (including ERP software).
Providing senior-level systems support, diagnosing complex technical issues, and supporting communications platforms.
Maintaining disaster recovery documentation and procedures for business continuity.
Managing a large inventory of endpoint devices and providing network systems administration support.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a closely related field, and a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in systems administration or network administration.
OR Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in systems administration, network administration, or information technology, supplemented by relevant technical certifications.
Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license.
Work Environment, Physical Demands and Other Requirements
Work is performed primarily in an office environment;
Some work is performed in vehicles, maintenance facilities, outdoors and in inclement weather;
On call and after hours work will be required at times.
Background check and drug test are required.
