Job Description Johnson & Johnson is a global leader in healthcare innovation, focused on developing medicine and medical devices that prevent, treat, and cure complex diseases. Our Orthopaedics teams deliver clinical and economic value to surgeons and healthcare systems, building solutions for joint reconstruction, trauma, sport, spine, robotics, and digital surgery.

The company is separating its Orthopaedics business into a standalone company, DePuy Synthes. The separation is expected to be completed within 18–24 months, subject to regulatory approvals.

Purpose

Senior Analyst, Commercial Data Strategies will support the design and implementation of data systems and analyses that provide the strategic framework for the commercial organization, enabling sales execution, business reporting, and sales force effectiveness across multiple business units.

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Analyse specific data challenges within each business unit, ensuring effective testing and data integrity.
  • Independently develop solutions, share technical expertise, and mentor junior analysts.
  • Maintain strong relationships with IT and Global Insight partners, building business knowledge and understanding of the Commercial Organization.
  • Define and build new analytical capabilities for medical device businesses, focusing on market data.
  • Ensure the foundational data technologies and processes support new data availability as required.
  • Train analytical teams and internal customers on appropriate data usage to realize business value.
  • Communicate business issues or opportunities to management.
  • If supervising, enforce company health, safety and environmental practices and provide necessary resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties assigned as needed.
Strategic Impact This Role Will Directly Contribute To
  • Scaling the DePuy Synthes Commercial Data ecosystem into a global “best in class” medallion architecture.
  • Strengthening surgeon relationships and KOL engagement across all orthopaedic business units.
  • Enabling data‑driven community insights that inform broader commercial and clinical strategies.
  • Supporting the establishment of DePuy Synthes’ digital brand presence and surgeon engagement model as a standalone company.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • BS, BA in a relevant field (Business, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or similar). MBA or MS preferred.
  • 3–5 years of related work experience.
  • Strong data management experience.
  • Experience with sales analytics data access, contracting and compensation systems, CRM environments, and data access methodologies.
  • Proficiency with database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) and interface technologies (Informatica, Web Methods, etc.).
  • Experience with query and report writing tools (Microsoft Access, Cognos Impromptu, SQL, Focus).
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and data management skills; familiarity with QLIK SENSE, Tableau, Spotfire, Cognos, Minitab, SPSS or SAS.
  • Strong analytical, business insight and technical skills; meticulous attention to detail and dashboard formulation.
  • Project management experience, including managing multiple initiatives with tight timelines.
