Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate its Orthopedics business into a standalone company, DePuy Synthes, within 18 to 24 months. Once the transaction completes, you will be an employee of DePuy Synthes, governed by its employment processes, policies, and benefit plans.
Reporting to the US Regional Demand Planning Senior Manager, this role leads the US demand Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. Responsibilities include demand planning alignment with business planning, understanding the US inventory strategy and planning activities, and driving key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, customer service, and inventory.
Responsibilities- Under general supervision and in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Chair US Demand S&OP/IBP Meetings and other applicable forums.
- Lead demand planning activities for assigned products by ensuring excellent integrity of both demand and forecast data.
- Manage assigned implant/instrument forecasts in a high SKU environment using statistical software and new product modeling.
- Responsible for achieving forecast accuracy targets (MAPE & BIAS) and driving continuous improvements in this area.
- Review statistical forecast generated and provide input on changes that may be required. Collaborate with functions such as Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, and Finance to identify and incorporate market intelligence (events) into the demand forecast as aligned.
- Develop detailed execution plans and manage demand plans for new product introductions and life cycle management as required and aligned with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- Adhere to the monthly forecast upload cycle and report forecast accuracy metrics and consumption data as required.
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other duties assigned as needed.
- REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of related professional experience required.
- Experience in medical device, consumer, or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
- Supply chain certification (APICS/IBF/Six Sigma) preferred.
- Hands‑on working experience with one or more of the following areas: inventory, planning, order management, ERP or MRP systems, financial processes.
