We are searching for the best talent to join our DePuy Synthes Orthopaedics team as a Senior Human Factors Engineer. The role focuses on improving Orthopedics solutions across joint reconstruction, trauma, craniomaxillofacial, sports, extremities, elective foot & ankle, spine, robotic & digital surgery.

• Lead human‑factor efforts from concept through post‑market support.
• Develop an understanding of intended use environments and the user types through time spent in the field.
• Identify and analyze a variety of factors for project decisions, demonstrating judgment in selecting methods and techniques for evaluation.
• Network with key contacts outside own area, represent the voice of the customer from a human‑factor & technical perspective for new product development.

• University/Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors Engineering (HFE), Usability Engineering, or related field.
• 4‑6 years of experience in human‑factor/usability engineering, use‑case validation testing or equivalent in product development and customer interactions.
• Demonstrated ability with the human‑factor engineering process: research, planning, risk assessment, regulatory submissions.
• Medical‑device product development experience or experience in a highly regulated industry is a strong plus. Clinical experience and/or software/GUI development degrees are also a plus.
• Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and provide disposition feedback or edit suggestions for risk‑management documentation.
• Planning, executing, documenting, and reporting usability testing, including moderation of studies.
• Knowledge of IEC 62366 and FDA guidance on human‑factor engineering.
• Good knowledge of ISO 14971 and IEC 62304 is a plus.
• Fluent in English;
  German and French are an advantage.
• Travel ability up to 20 % domestically and internationally.

Base pay range: $92,000.00 – $.
