Position Overview
As a Project Consultant for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Boston, MA office, you will work with project teams to create permitting and construction plans and municipal zoning and land development applications for private and public sector clients. You’ll take part in designing site layouts and grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, storm water management facilities, and site utilities.
You work with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers to execute projects and interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials, contributing from conceptual and design phases through regulatory review, bidding, construction, and grand opening.
Applicants may work out of either our Raynham, MA or Peabody, MA office locations.
Responsibilities• Create permitting and construction plans, municipal zoning, and land development applications.
• Design site layouts, grading, erosion controls, storm water management, and site utilities.
• Collaborate with project and assistant project managers to execute projects.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and local government officials throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 2+ years of professional engineering experience
- Engineering In Training (EIT) certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or Storm Sewers (a plus)
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and work in a team setting
The pay range for this position is between $80,000 and $90,000. Factors such as additional education and/or experience may influence the actual offering.
